1.Common types of light sources
In our household, the common light sources include incandescent bulbs, fluorescent lights, and LED bulbs. Currently, LED lighting predominates in our fixtures.
LED light:
1.Advantages: Small size, no flicker, no UV emissions, high efficiency. Typically, mid to high-end LED products have a color rendering index (CRI) exceeding 80, and some can even reach 95. LED luminaires also have a long lifespan. They are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The light source of LED luminaires is composed of individual LED chips.
2.Disadvantages: High price. Replacing the light source is not very convenient, usually requiring disassembly of the luminaire to remove the original LED.
3.Application areas: Traffic lighting, indoor lighting, landscape lighting.
Incandescent lamp:
1.Advantages: Incandescent light bulbs are the closest electric light source to natural light, with color temperature typically ranging from 2700K to 4000K, making them easily acceptable to the human eye. Additionally, incandescent bulbs have relatively low flicker. They are also easy to replace by simply screwing in a new bulb.
2.Disadvantages: Incandescent bulbs consume a lot of electricity, have low luminous efficacy, and short lifespan. They are not environmentally friendly, generate high heat, have a short lifespan (around 1000 hours), emit high levels of infrared radiation, are susceptible to vibration, and have a low color temperature, resulting in a yellowish light.
3.Suitable applications: Incandescent bulbs are suitable for use in residential dining areas, bedrooms, etc.
Fluorescent lamp (also known as daylight lamp)
1.Advantages: High luminous efficiency, low energy consumption, and energy-saving. Easy to replace the light source, just need to unscrew the bulb.
2.Disadvantages: It may experience light decay, the color rendering index of fluorescent lamps is not as good as incandescent lamps; the light may flicker, which can have a certain impact on vision; in addition, there is mercury pollution in the production process and after disposal, causing environmental pollution.
3.Application range: Indoor public spaces such as factories, offices, schools, supermarkets, hospitals, warehouses, etc.
2.Common light bulb types
E27/E26/E14/12:
Among these, "E" represents the thread size, and the number represents the diameter of the thread. E12 and E26 are commonly used for 120V AC electricity and are designed for the North American market. E14 and E27 are commonly used for 240V AC electricity and are designed for other international markets.
